After a long, hard search - we have found a great school in Fort Myers! Being new to Florida and coming from PA and VA, the search for schools down here was very frustrating. This school, I feel, is like a hidden "gem" in Fort Myers. I am a reading specialist/teacher myself and have taught for 10 years. With my background in education I feel that I have a good idea of what to look for in a school. My daughter loves it here. Her curiosity is encouraged and the students are exposed to so many things. The teachers use all moments as teaching moments and respect and nurture each child. This is a very simple school - it does not have it's own building (it is 2 rooms within a church) but do not overlook it. I am just sad that she will have to move on next year and I have to go through the searching process again! —Submitted by a parent

My daughter was a student for 3 years at Creative Minds Montessori School and she absolutely loved it. She is now in Kindergarten at another school but still talks about the teachers and friends she made during her time at CMMS. She learned so much while studying there that she feels her kinder class is way too easy. Since she learned most of the work they are covering now during her time at CMMS her Kinder teacher has to give her extra work to keep her busy because she is ahead of all the other students in her class. Even though she is no longer attending CMMS, I am still an active volunteer and looking forward to having my 1 and half yr old daughter attend when she's old enough. The teachers are truly amazing and care about their students' education and well being. If you are looking for an outside of the box type of education for your child, CMMS is the perfect place.

Creative Minds is a wonderful Montessori school. My daughter just entered her second year and she loves it. Just this morning, she woke me up asking if she could go to school today! The teachers are kind, loving and patient, always teaching in the moment. I love the Montessori philosophy and Creative Minds provides a great education in a comfortable environment. My daughter is learning faster than I thought possible for a 3 year old, everything from letters and numbers to food preparation to nature. I would recommend Creative Minds to every parent looking for a calm, nurturing learning environment for their child.
