Richly artistic curriculum

Using our richly artistic curriculum, each child is free to express their creativity alongside preparing for lifelong success. Arts are woven throughout all content areas and readily available during free play time as well. This process transforms education into an integrative process that educates the whole child – creatively, socially, emotionally, cognitively and physically. Creativity is fostered through developmentally appropriate art experiences with various media. We provide open ended materials and activities, so the possibility of unique expression is limitless! We take pride in honing artistic minds which form a solid base for learning any subject.

Cultivate a lifelong love of learning!

Creative Minds’ mission is to cultivate a lifelong love of learning. Through nurturing each child’s powerful imagination and natural curiosity, we strive to ensure what they learn becomes their own. We design our thematic units in broad categories so the children can play an active role in their learning by choosing sub topics they want to investigate further. For example, if the broad topic is “animals from eggs”, our teachers assess the students interest to guide how long to cover a sub topic such as dinosaurs, birds, reptiles or any other animal that sparks curiosity. When children learn through their interests, they are more likely to retain the information and be intrinsically motivated to independently seek out learning opportunities.

Passion for music!

The most important period for a child’s music development is from birth to age six. Much like language acquisition, children learn music through imitating and memorizing. That is why it is vital to provide several experiences with music and music play during this time. Children struggle to develop their potential into actual music growth without a strong foundation set in the early years. Additionally, music ignites all areas of child development: intellectual, social and emotional, motor, language, and overall literacy. It helps the body and the mind work together. Not only does music and music play offer several benefits, it also provides the child with long lasting, joyful memories of childhood!

No “Cookie Cutter” formula!

We don’t have a cookie cutter formula for teaching your child. Our curriculum is designed onsite by Early Childhood experts that allow teachers to let children guide their own learning. Each child is unique, and our curriculum promotes flexible methods and various learning styles to allow the child to naturally progress and engage with the world full of confidence while also correlating to developmental milestones, state standards and Kindergarten readiness skills. Small groups are planned every week to meet each child at their level and teach accordingly. Here at Creative Minds Montessori, we develop the whole child- heart, hands and head!

Creative Minds Montessori, located at the intersection of Warren Pkwy and Legacy Dr near Baylor Scott & White in Frisco, proudly serves a vibrant and growing community. As the only school in Frisco blending Waldorf and Montessori principles, we offer a nurturing, high-quality program for children ages 6 weeks to Kindergarten.

Our thoughtfully designed curriculum combines academic foundations in math, language, and science with rich creative experiences in music, art, and drama. Through hands-on learning and a child-centered approach, we foster independence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.
